  • 8:07 PM JeffM on Update: Ex-Barrington teacher arraigned on sex assault

reread the article. The allegations were not made a year ago, they were made eight months ago... Paiva was arrested after an eight month investigation. It sounds like pragmatic problem solving: First - get Paiva out... This was accomplished without allowing Paiva to ever return to the classroom. Second - build a SOLID case against Paiva... If that takes eight months, so be it. Better a solid case than a shoddy one conceivably allowing Paiva to be acquitted.

  • 7:56 PM Informed on Update: 300 PC students silently protest Tom Tancredo

Mike, how lovely that you're telling us what our own intentions were, I never would have known otherwise. Let's talk about community, heritage, and tradition, then. A native American girl, in her traditional outfit, was at the protest. You have no idea how sick it made me, and her, listening to two Tancredo supporters telling her why the Western world, following the logic of "heritage and tradition" that the YWC openly supports, did not "assimilate" into Native American culture. We're all immigrants.

  • 6:58 PM Dan on Road closures Monday night at T.F. Green Airport

After the conditions we saw this week regarding some of the jetways, perhaps TF Green and the airlines should spend a little more for Rustoleum to paint the derelict looking runways. They look like freighters registered in foreign countries, i.e. more rust than paint. Delta had about the worst looking. The rust reminded me of some of the corroded girders under our overpasses. Not sure of their structural integrity.

  • 2:15 PM oldman on Providence mayor's father lives in foreclosed townhouse

Why is this news? Is the mayor's father one of the owners of the building? Is he a partner in the corporation that owns it? Does he rent the unit? Too many unanswered questions. Do a little more legwork before you post a story. Just the fact that the mayor's father lives there is not enough. ProJo, what has happened to your journalistic principles?

You don't know what you're talking about. Citizens is fine. Their parent is now majority owned by the UK government. They're in better shape than most others.
