Coast Guard searching for missing man, 85

NARRAGANSETT -- Authorities are searching for an 85-year-old man who may have fallen off a dock in Point Judith last night, according to Coast Guard spokeswoman Connie Terrell.

A Point Judith ferry terminal worker alerted the Coast Guard this morning that the unidentified man, who regularly walked in the area, may have fallen into the water, Terrell said.

His walker was found on the dock and his car was in a parking lot.

Coast Guard, Narragansett police and state Department of Environment law enforcement officers are on the scene at the fishing port and ferry slip now.

No more information is available at this time.
