Business Expo opens today

Business Expo opens this morning and will run for two days at the Rhode Island Convention Center in downtown Providence.

About 400 exhibitors have set up booths at the annual event that is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors to the seminars, special appearances and speaking programs.

Jim Miklaszewski, NBC-TV’s chief Pentagon correspondent, will deliver the keynote address at 11 a.m. today. He has led the network’s coverage of the war in Afghanistan and Iraq. He is scheduled to discuss homeland security, the wars overseas and the political landscape.
