FALL RIVER, Mass., – Firefighters knocked down a blaze this morning that heavily damaged the third floor and roof of a Division Street apartment building in the city’s south end.

The building, at 249 Division St., contained nine units. There were no reports of injuries, according to a fire department news release. The fire’s cause is unknown, but fire officials and the police are investigating.
