Trinity Rep announces next season schedule
PROVIDENCE -- For those theater lovers who love to plan ahead, the Trinity Repertory Company today released its schedule for the 2007-08 season, a lineup that includes six plays ranging from a romantic musical written by the theater director to Shakespeare's Richard III.
The season will be the downtown Providence company's second under director Curt Columbus.
"These plays represent a wide range of genres all anchored by the exploration of themes of power -- ranging from grand political intrigue to small family battles played out in America's living rooms," Columbus said in a statement that detailed the schedule.
The first play, All the King's Men, is scheduled to begin in Sept. 14 and run until Oct. 21. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, it is a political insider's tale of one man's rise from the family farm to the State House.

Memory House, a play commissioned for the Trinity Rep that examines a troubled family is set to run from Nov. 30 to early Jan. 6.
Shakespeare's Richard III is set to run Jan. 25 to March 2.
Some Things are Private, an original creation by Trinity Rep's producers of last season's Boots on the Ground, runs from Feb. 15 to March 23.
Blithe Spirit, a Noel Coward work, runs March 28 to April 2.
And Paris by Night, a romantic musical that was written by Columbus, closes out the season, running April 25 to June 1.
