By Tatiana Pina PAWTUCKET, R.I. - The police have identified a woman who was found unconscious Tuesday night on West Avenue, and later died, as Patricia Tremblay, 30, of 8 George St. Tremblay was found lying partially on the street and partially on the sidewalk near Main Street, according to Maj. Arthur Martins of the Pawtucket Police. Martins said that originally it appeared that the woman had severe injuries and may have been hit by a car that took off, but closer inspection revealed that she had a broken ankle, and there did not appear to be evidence that she had been hit by a car. He said the broken ankle could have been indicative of a fall. Martins said the woman did not have any other injuries beyond the broken ankle. He said there did not appear to be foul play, but that police would not know the cause of death until they received word from the medical examiner. I am a friend of the deceased and had not seen her for sometime. Please let her father and children know they are in my prayers.
