LINCOLN, RI -- The Twin River slot parlor in Lincoln said Monday it will begin operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week beginning Thursday, Nov. 19.

Earlier in November, the Rhode Island Lottery director gave the financially troubled gambling venue permission to extend its operating hours. The current hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and round-the-clock on weekends and holidays, with liquor service cut off after 12:30 a.m.

At the time, a Twin River spokeswoman said it would take the slot parlor about two weeks to work out the logistics of operating 24/7.

Following along with always-available gambling, some Twin River food vendors will extend their operating hours, including at least three that go 24/7 -- Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks and Dessert Express. Johnny Rockets will open until 2 a.m. Saturdays and until 11 p.m. on Sundays. Subway will open until 11 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Alcohol will be served every day until 1 a.m.

So Gaylord the gambler lets here your cure for the deficit? What is it??

Cuts, cuts, cuts that will NEVER happen? How about consolidation of services that will never happen. Or how about more big business in RI that will never happen?

That is the problem with this state and its dingbat citizens and leaders. You walk around complaining but keep your heads buried so deep in the sand that your learning chinese. This state needs to be looking at every single possible way to generate money that ISNT tax based because last I checked we are the poorest state that has the highest tax burden coupled with the worst business climate capped of with no source of income OUTSIDE of taxes. I cant wait until such a day that I have enough equity in my house so I can sell it and get out of dodge...or RI that is!

To all you losers that can't get enough of throwing your money away, I bid you a fond "welcome"! RI Needs you and the donation of your hard earned paycheck, welfare check, social security check is so greatly appreciated.

It is so appreciated that we're going 24/7 for your convenience and for every fifth pull of the arm on the slots, you get a free glass of Fresca!

So enjoy and keep that money coming!!!

Jack -- wake up and smell the coffee. If the Narragansetts get it, they only pay the state 30%. Twin River is presently forking over 61%. Obviously, that doesn't solve the budget problem or your taxes.

So much for considering the requests by Lincoln town officials and residents near Twin River that it not be allowed to operate 24/7. Guess the almighty state trumps a mere town.

So what, let them open 24/7 and put table games in there too. It's not going to cause more gambling woes as one can merley drive 45 minutes to CT and throw money away there. Maybe more MA residents will come as it will be a shorter drive.

No, gambling is NOT a way to fix the budget but ladies and gentleman the elephant is in the room, you just refuse to see it.

If it's not for you shut up and vote with your wallet. Simple enough.

One more thing, STOP the welfare payments to the dog owners.

I'm sure this place will be wall to wall Monday thru Thursday at 2,3,4,5 in the morning.
