PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Gas prices in Rhode Island have dropped for the third straight week.

AAA Southern New England says in its weekly survey Monday that self-serve regular unleaded is averaging $2.669 a gallon, or a one-cent decrease from last week.

The price is also two cents above the national average and 74 cents higher than it was a year ago at this time.

Prices have now dropped four cents overall in the last three weeks.

Check AAA's Web site for the lowest prices.
