PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- The police are investigating a robbery at the Pawtucket Credit Union at 571 Smithfield Ave. A woman entered the bank around 2:30 p.m. Thursday and passed a note to the teller. She fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash, Maj. Arthur Martins said. The woman did not display a weapon, Martins said. The police are reviewing the bank's surveillance system. Martins said they are also looking into possible connections with robberies in other communities. Check projo.com for updates as they become available. |
