PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- The police are investigating a robbery at the Pawtucket Credit Union at 571 Smithfield Ave.

A woman entered the bank around 2:30 p.m. Thursday and passed a note to the teller. She fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash, Maj. Arthur Martins said. The woman did not display a weapon, Martins said.

The police are reviewing the bank's surveillance system. Martins said they are also looking into possible connections with robberies in other communities.
