AP file photoAmy Fisher Amy Fisher, "The Long Island Lolita" who shot the wife of her lover in the head, is coming to Providence. Fisher, a published author and adult film performer, will appear at the Cadillac Lounge Friday and Saturday night. "I'm not doing Shakespeare up there," said Fisher in a phone interview on Tuesday. Fisher made headlines in 1992 when she went to the house of her lover, auto body shop owner Joey Buttafuoco, and shot Buttafuoco's wife, Mary Jo, in the head. She pleaded guilty to first-degree assault and served seven years in prison. Fisher said she started performing as a stripper about a year ago when a booking agent called and asked if she'd be interested. The training was brief. "I do very well," she said. She concedes that her notoriety might be what brings customers into a club, but she claims her beauty is what keeps them there.

I am so tired of people being rewarded for bad behavior.... Cianci a convicted felon gets work as a radio show host and political whatever for the local TV news and now we got someone being rewarded for taking a shotgun to someone else's face! Why would someone pay to see this person who should still be in jail?

You people are ridiculous. The ProJo is merely reporting this on their blog, because its interesting. Is it news? I'm sure someone thinks so. The comments taking shots about 'This is News?', and free publicity, need to calm down. Does this effect you? No. Bring your blood pressure down a bit.

Stayed Tuned! There will be another article in a few years...Long Island Lolita makes her home in Rhode Island...collecting welfare checks, foodstamps, and asking for donations of a different kind. Where does she go from here??
Oh yes, we can pay to send her to college!!! So she can change her sorry little life around because it was soooo difficult getting one after attempted murder.
