More than half of US states no allow students to attend ONLINE CHARTER SCHOOLS. The benefits to the state are: lower overhead, no buildings, no retirement, no salary, no supplies. The "tuition" is about 4k per ki retail, but states negotiate a lower price. This is MUCH cheaper than our current spending per kid! Why wont RI let it in? (the charters are already established and fully, nationaly accredited) BC the UNIONS wont have it.
SAD... we are not keeping up with a changing world.
