Seau had a physical with the team earlier this month while in New England for a filming of the show. "I'm very fortunate and honored to be involved with two class organizations - the New England Patriots and Versus, I want to thank the management of both for making my return to the NFL with the New England Patriots a reality," Seau said in a statement posted on the site. Seau, who will turn 41 in January, has played parts of the last three seasons with the Patriots. He played in four games last season after signing with the team in midseason. In this week's regularly scheduled conference call with the media, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick declined to confirm the move, saying "We haven't announced anything." Nick Caserio, the team's director of player personnel, said: "Really the only thing we've done with Junior is we gave him a physical and we worked him out last week. So from our end, that's really all we have to announce." Defensive coordinator Dean Pees, meanwhile, declined to say anything about the possibility of Seau joining the team. Are they for real.. Another ancient relic that has gone WAY past his prime and will be another hinderance to a now pathetic team. What the heck are they thinking.. or maybe panic is setting in...Maybe they can get Leroy Jordan or Dick Butkus to come to New England....

The Patriots are a pathetic team? Since when? Not knowledgable regarding football huh Steve? Tied for first in their division and two bare misses against two outstanding teams. Seen their stats? Steve; pure, plain, and simple: full of bologna.

Steve is just another one of those people who gjealous when the patriots do good because his dolphins or jets will never be in the super bowl again. Every year that the pats ever made it to the super bowl they signed a knowledgable veteran who the other players looked up too. Trust me Bill Belichek the coach with the top 3 winning percentage ever in the NFL knows what he is doing.
