SWANSEA, Mass. -- A Fall River man was fatally injured in Swansea early Tuesday when the car he was driving rear-ended a dump truck that had stopped in the left lane of Route 6 to make a left turn onto Sears Road. Christopher Ouellette, 38, of Lafayette Place in Fall River was going west in a 2001 Dodge Neon at 6:41 a.m., Swansea police said. Officers and paramedics worked to resuscitate him while en route to Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. Swansea and Massachusetts state police are investigating. No charges are pending, Swansea Police Chief George Arruda said Tuesday afternoon. CommentsLeave a commentPlease be civil.
