By Amanda Milkovits COVENTRY, R.I. --- Two days after the Rhode Island State Police allegedly found hundreds of images and videos of child pornography on his home computer, Florida authorities charged Matthew Craig with sending child pornography to an undercover investigator in Boynton Beach. Craig, 23, was arrested at 46 Rebecca St., on Friday and ordered held without bail on the warrant from Florida. He had just moved to the Rebecca Street address from his family's home on 50 Ames St., because a condition of his bail on the Rhode Island charges prevented him from having any contact with children, including a younger sibling, state police Lt. James Demers said on Monday. Craig has waived extradition to Florida. While the warrant from Florida is new, the incident is part of the widening investigation into Craig's alleged involvement in online child pornography -- and did not occur while he was on bail, Demers said. Last week, Craig was arraigned on charges of possessing and transmitting child pornography, after state police alleged they found images of young boys having sex with other children or men on his computer. The investigation into Craig began in Florida about two months ago, through a multi-agency law-enforcement task force under the Palm Beach state attorney's office that investigates online child pornography. The investigators work with a "super predator" database, which can track the movement of child pornography as it's shipped from one IP address to another, and where the items are downloaded, said Michael Edmondson, spokesman for the state attorney's office. Once the investigators track down the IP addresses, they contact the local law enforcement to continue the investigation and draw warrants, he said. Florida authorities tipped off the Rhode Island state police to an IP address, which led to Craig's residence at 50 Ames St., where the computer was being used by a man who said he was 23. Last week, the investigation led state police to Craig, and his roommate, Kenneth Girard, 24, whose computer also had child pornography, the state police said. The investigation is still open, as the state police continue to try to identify two young boys who appear nude in sexually suggestive poses on Craig's digital camera. The two boys appear to be 10 to 12 years old. The state police are asking anyone with information about the boys' identities to contact either Lt. Nicholas Tella at the state police computer crimes unit, at (401) 275-5171, or the state police headquarters at (401) 444-1000.
