A 20-year old woman, the passenger on the bike, was taken to a trauma center and was reported to be in critical condition, according to Cpl. William Litterio. The driver, a 21-year-old man, suffered minor injuries, Litterio said. The motorcycle was northbound shortly after 7 p.m. when it left the road, veered onto a stone wall and slammed into the tree, according to the police, who said excessive speed appeared to be a factor in the crash. Neither was wearing a helmet, said Litterio, who declined to release their names until family notifications were complete. |
