To those of you under 50. You've probably only seen him in McHale's Navy reruns. A few suggestions. You won't be disappointed.
Bad Day At Black Rock
Marty
Jubal
A Catered Affair
Flight of the Phoenix
The Wild Bunch
I could go on and on. A great actor who never came off as 'Hollywood'.

This man has great acting range, his ability to move from drama,to comedy is hard to beat.Mr. Borgnine, makes you believe that he is the character, not an actor playing a role.Earlier this week,my grandson, and I watched McHale's Navy,on Hulu.It was really fun to see him laughing at the same shows that the kids in the 1960's were watching over forty years ago.The movies listed above are all very good, although my favorite movie that had Ernest Borgnine in it was From Here To Eternity.
