Visitors to the Cliff Walk below some of Newport's famous mansions enjoyed a break in the rainy weather Wednesday afternoon. There was a thunderstorm watch on between 4 and 5 p.m. for northeast Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts, with scattered showers and isolated storms expected into the evening.
