PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A suspect in a homicide outside a downtown nightclub was ordered held without bail Wednesday when arraigned in Superior Court. Narin Kheng, 27, of 50 Lincoln Ave., Cranston, was indicted for murder in the December slaying of Jeremy M. Olearnick, 22, of Norwich, Conn. Judge William E. Carnes ordered Kheng to return to court for a hearing Sept. 24. Kheng is one of two suspects in the case. Antonio DeSano, 19, of 18 Grant St., Cranston faces the same charges -- murder and conspiracy. DiSano was arraigned before Judge Carnes in June and also was ordered held without bail. According to the indictment, DiSano and Kheng were leaving Level II, a downtown nightclub on Dec. 6 when they encountered Olearnick, who had just left Club Hell with friends. The police said DiSano and Kheng confronted Olearnick and his friends and that Kheng stabbed the young line cook, leaving him for dead on the sidewalk. Kheng and DiSano were arrested on a nearby street moments later. -- With reports by Kathy Borchers CommentsLeave a commentPlease be civil.
