PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The state Department of Health on Thursday recommended swimming bans at Camp Grosvenor Beach and North Kingstown Town Beach, both in North Kingstown; City Park Beach and Conimicut Point Beach, both in Warwick; and Peabody's Beach and Third Beach, both in Middletown. High bacteria counts lay behind the department's recommendation. Gorton Pond Beach in Warwick and Warren Town Beach remain closed, the department said. For up to date information about swimming at Rhode Island beaches, go to the Health Department's Web site or call (401) 222-2751. CommentsLeave a commentPlease be civil. Bing says it's in Saunderstown. It's not clear, but it seems to possibly be a private beach.
