The organizers of SoundSession '09, the week-long music festival in downtown Providence, announced Thursday that rapper Fat Joe will not perform Friday night in Kennedy Plaza, as previously scheduled. The other acts on the Kennedy Plaza bill -- Ron Browz and N.O.R.E. -- will perform at the Back Lot, behind the Providence Black Rep, at 276 Westminster St., at 9 p.m., the organizers said in a statement. The acts originally scheduled to perform at the Back Lot -- Mista Mista, Case Closed, DJ BATTLE, WHO DEM?, Starrs and Murph, Jon Hope, Chachi and Eleventh Island Band, DJ G Squared, DJ Vibe, DJ Finesse, Roman Rok, Poorly Drawn People and the 4ZERO1 Fashion Show featuring No Means Yes -- will still play as well. According to the statement, ticket-holders for the Fat Joe show can get refunds at the point of purchase until Friday, or they can go to the Back Lot show, where refunds for the difference in ticket price between the two shows will be refunded at the door. |
