CRANSTON, R.I. -- Mayor Allan W. Fung says he will name a new police chief at 3 p.m. Monday in a news conference at City Hall. The new chief, who must be confirmed by the City Council, would replace Chief Stephen C. McGrath, who retired in May. He said he has interviewed three internal candidates: Acting Chief John G. Schaffran and Captains Marco Palombo Jr. and Robert W. Ryan. |
