Scituate family feud ends with brothers arrested

SCITUATE, R.I. -- Thursday was not a good day for the Tirocchi family.

Within a six-hour span, two brothers were arrested and ordered out of their family's house, for the same reason -- fighting with their father.

What started the initial argument isn't clear. Deputy Police Chief Stephen Lang said the department is familiar with the usually verbal arguments at the Tirocchi homestead at 41 Shun Pike.

William Tirocchi Sr., 57, told the police that he didn't like how his 19-year-old son, John, was talking to his mother on the phone. When John arrived home, he and his father argued through the screen about the phone conversation, Lang said.

John spit on the screen door, aiming for his father's face, and then beat the door with a walking stick, Lang said. The father came out and, during a fight, wrestled the stick away from his son and whacked him with it, Lang said. The son called the police to arrest his father, but the officers arrested the son instead, because they determined the young man had been the instigator, Lang said.

John Tirocchi was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic vandalism. John's mother and older brother, William Tirocchi Jr., paid his $1,000 bail sometime after 5 p.m. and drove him back home to get his things so he could move out.

Twenty minutes later, the 81-year-old grandfather called the police, because William Tirocchi Jr. was angry about his brother's arrest and was ransacking the kitchen, throwing the family's supper of chicken and pasta around the room, Lang said.

William Tirocchi Jr., 21, was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct and domestic malicious damage. His mother paid his $1,000 bail. Both brothers have no contact orders with their father. They'll be arraigned in Kent County District Court on June 24.

And the religious right think Gay marriage will devalue families ?

How did same-sex-marriage get into this one?

The real question here is, why did they bail them out? I could see if they were both in the slammer at the same time, to keep them from killing one another, but it was a bad investment of the parents' money. Leave them in a cell overnight!

I wonder what kind of family values were modeled for these two young men?

Price of bailing out not one, but two children out of the klink in one day: $2,000.00

Price of a newspaper to read about your children's escapades: $0.75

Price of "walking stick" taken out your agressive child's hands to publicly cane him with: Free

Value of a group rate for family counseling: PRICELESS!!!!

Tough to raise kids with good family values in a society where left-wingers indoctrinate children with moon bat principles from Pre-K through high school, and then continue the brain-washing via their control of higher education and the media.

I knew the family when they lived 3 houses done from me when my husband had to call 911 because the older brother flew out of the driveway during a fight with their father. His father busted his head in the street and was lying in his own blood and he still took off.

Motherly love must be very strong, to bail them bad boys out.
