CRANSTON, R.I. -- A robber grabbed cash from the AAA Gas Station and Convenience Store, 717 Park Ave., and fled Thursday evening. Police said the suspect entered shortly before closing as a clerk was counting money. The suspect vaulted the counter, pushing the unsuspecting clerk aside and took an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. Police said the store's owner arrived at that point and confronted the robber, but the robber drove off. Cranston Police asked anyone with information tp call at 942-2211.
