PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The police have identified a 19-year-old Providence woman who was stabbed in the lower left abdomen Saturday afternoon during an argument in Silver Lake with another Providence woman. Ciara Collins, who lives on Tell Street on Federal Hill, was in stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital Sunday night after she was stabbed outside a residence at 494 Plainfield St., according to Providence Police Lt. Paul Campbell. On Saturday, the police said she was in serious condition. The hospital did not have her listed in its directory Monday morning, according to a spokeswoman. The police have identified a suspect, but no one has been arrested yet, Campbell said. The women knew each other, Campbell said. The woman accused of the stabbing fled from the scene, the police said on Saturday. This story was originally published at 7:19 a.m. -- With reports from Journal Staff Writer Kate Bramson |
