WARWICK, R.I. - - A man wearing a black hoodie wielding a knife robbed the Quaker Lane Shell station at 1190 Quaker Lane just before 2:11 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Warwick Police. Major Joseph H.Tavares said the clerk called the police to tell them a man, described as about 6'1'' and 215 pounds who wore his hoodie tied to cover his face, had come into the store, displayed a knife and demanded all the money in the drawer. The clerk complied and the man left the store headed north, Tavares said. He was described as "scruffy" and between the ages of 20 and 30. Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call the Warwick Police at (401) 468-4200. |
