PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence School Department will hold community meetings Tuesday and Thursday to gather insights about its aging school buildings. Supt. Tom Brady will join city officials and members of the community to discuss the 2004 facilities master plan, its goals and the progress made to date. The group will then examine the goals and priorities for the 2009 update, which is meant to carry the district forward in renovating its school buildings. The first meeting will be Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Asa Messer Elementary School, 158 Messer St. The second meeting will be Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sanchez Complex, 182 Thurbers Ave. Childcare will be provided.
