NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A local woman reported to the police Friday that someone broke into her apartment at 7 Brook St. while she was spending the night with her sister and stole a jewelry box containing $10,000 worth of assorted jewelry. The police said the intruder apparently broke into the home of Olufunke Imonah by removing an air conditioner from a rear window. Also Friday, Arthur Faryan and David Armenakian said someone broke into their first-floor apartment at 520 Fruit Hill Ave. and stole $2,500 in cash, two gold bracelets, a pair of size 10 shoes and a diamond watch. The police said it appeared the intruder got in by prying open the front door and kicking down the doors of the victims' separate bedrooms. |
