WASHINGTON _ Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy cut short his stay at a treatment facility Friday to answer a call from House Democratic leadership that he appear to vote on a crucial energy bill that is likely to be decided by a close margin. Kerrie Bennett, Kennedy's spokeswoman, said the Rhode Island congressman intends to return directly to the medical facility, the location of which Kennedy has not disclosed. Kennedy, a recovering alcoholic and drug addict who also suffers from bipolar disorder, checked himself into the facility more than two weeks ago. Bennett said he continued to hope for a return to full-time work in Washington before the Congress adjourns for its August recess.

Pa Trick, please don't do us any favors by leaving you funny farm to vote for what has to be the worst legislation to come out of Washington yet.
Why don't you have the decency to retire and leave your seat to someone who won't do so much damage.
If people thing their utility bills are high now.....Wait until the cost of this legislation gets passed along....You ain't seen nothing yet!!!

Hard-left ideologue? Have you looked at the polar ice cap lately? We are destroying this planet. The greatness of America is our moral leadership in the world - especially under patriots like Ronald Reagan. Are you saying you deplore Reagan? You Don't agree with America as moral leader of the world? You don't care what kind of planet we leave our children?

Thats great. Did he review the bill? Did he even know anything about the bill? Was he coherent to vote on the bill? Patrick you need to go. Resign, leave, go off on a bender, do anything but just GO! The same goes for all of those 80 year old pink hairs that vote for him becuase he brings in a box of Joe and a dozen donuts.
