The CVS Caremark Charity Classic looks as if it is going to start on time, but finishing first-round play Monday could be another matter.

The clinic that begins festivities went on, as scheduled. One of the highlights, as usual, was the comedy work of Peter Jacobsen.

Just as the clinic was finishing, a light rain began. To that point, very little rain had fallen. The first foursome of Brittany Lincicome-Brad Adamonis and Laura Diaz-Matt Kuchar is scheduled to begin play at 10:30, with the last group going off at 11:10.

Weather reports are not encouraging. Radar shows some heavy rain backing in from off the ocean. It indicates serious rain could arrive by 11:30 or noon.

Perhaps not surprisingly, crowds, at least to this point, are as small as they have been in tournament history.
