EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A two-car accident just before noon tied up traffic on Route 114 for about an hour Thursday, East Providence police said. A GMC pickup rear-ended a Jeep Liberty, resulting in minor injuries and rupturing the Jeep's gas tank, Sgt. Tom Rush said. Ambulances and a hazardous materials team were called to the scene. Both vehicles were northbound near the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, at 550 Wampanoag Trail. |
