PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- A Warwick man who has served time for drugs and robbery is accused of being the mysterious biker who held up a Dunkin' Donuts through the drive-through window just after midnight on Saturday. The police said that Ware first attempted to rob a McDonald's on Armistice Boulevard at midnight by riding up on a red motorcycle and demanding money from a clerk at the drive-through window. But the clerk just walked away and let the window close on the would-be robber, Mullen said. So, Ware rode on, Mullen said, and drove up to the Dunkin' Donuts at 81 Newport Ave., where he got $48 from the clerk at the drive-through. Ware's criminal record goes back at least 14 years, including robbery, assault, and drug convictions. Most recently, he pleaded no contest in 2007 to possession of controlled drugs and was sentenced to nine years in prison, with 18 months to serve. CommentsLeave a commentPlease be civil. What was this person doing on the streets with multiple convictions. How many felonies does it take to realize someone belongs behind bars, that they just aren't going to get it?
