Friday's Providence Journal front page reports that U.S. Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy, a public face of recovery from addiction since an automobile accident drove him to a rehabilitation center three years ago, has entered an undisclosed medical facility for treatment.

Another story explores how plans for the U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting unraveled, as that meeting kicks off today.

In town to attend the mayors conference, the President of Colombia, Alvaro Uribe Velez, got a warm welcome from the local Colombian community when he spoke at Central Falls High School Thursday night.

And the DOT predicts traffic will only worsen in the short term, after Thursday's planned relocation of the Route 95 north-south split, phase three of the four-part relocation of Interstate 195.
