The United States Conference of Mayors announced Friday morning that USMayorTime with Tom Cochran is live on the Web, featuring U.S. mayors sharing the story of U.S. cities. Guests, according to a press release, will include the mayors' conference president, Miami Mayor Manuel "Manny" Diaz; its past president, Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley; Los Angeles Mayor Antiono R. Villaraigosa; and international leaders such as Hiroshima Mayor Tadatoshi Akiba and Mexico's ambassador to the United States, Arturo Sukhan Casamitjana. Conversations will touch on how cities are handling the economic crisis, mayors' involvement in climate protection, AK-47s and gun violence, and many other issues affecting cities. You can e-mail questions and comments for America's mayors to usmayortime@usmayors.org. If your question or comment is sent after the broadcast ends, the press release said, the group will try to address them in an upcoming show. |
