CRANSTON, R.I. -- Cranston teachers will meet at the West Valley Inn in West Warwick this afternoon to vote on a new contract. Union President Francis J. Flynn said the meeting will have three parts: a presentation on the proposed contract, followed by questions and then a vote. The last teachers contract expired August 31, 2008. Oh yeah and on another note.....They should change the retirement age formula so teachers aren't allowed to retire at 55. That is why were are also in deficit. People are now living longer which means that is more money us tax payers have to pay out. Must be nice to have it on easy street!!!!
