PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A preliminary investigation indicates a Monday night fire that heavily damaged a single-family house at 93 Babcock St. , near Roger Williams Park, was caused by an electrical problem.

An electrical inspector was expected to be back at the home Tuesday morning, according to the city fire marshal's office.

The couple and their four children, who escaped the fire unharmed around 9 p.m. Monday night, will not likely be back in the house for "a long time," Fire Battalion Chief Timothy McDaniel said Tuesday morning.

Hmm, How fast did the fire dept respond? Or were they too busy picketing. Best wishes to the family and if there is a specific place to make donations for them, PROJO please let us know!

I am sure they responded quick and efficient as always--and just as an FYI picketing ended Monday afternoon. Give them a break--

End the witch-hunt already. Spiteful, useless comments. You know full well that they were there for that family as always. And you know full well that every picketing firefighter was off-duty and not affecting responses at all.

I thank God for the safety of the family of 4. For God, it would have been a different story.
