With the start of the Memorial Day holiday and the added splash of warm weather, high school students from around the state flock to the Narragansett Town Beach.

With the weather forecast calling for temperatures dipping into the 70s, with a mix of sun and clouds, and some chance of thundershowers, outdoors activities should be popular this entire weekend.

Of course, with water temperatures hovering around the 50s, the surf's not so warm right now. Video: Warm enough to freeze in Narragansett

Beaches around the Ocean State are open. Click here for a list of R.I. beaches, parking fees and more for the 2009 season.
