WARWICK, RI -- The body of a man found floating in Greenwich Bay near the Aqua Vista Marina Saturday will be autopsied, but there was nothing immediately suspicious about his death, police Capt. Matthew Costello said Sunday. He identified the victim as David Vespia, 58, of 575 Dyer Ave., Cranston, and said that Vespia's body was sent to the state medical examiner. The police had been called to the marina at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, responding to a report of a body face down in the water. The marina is at the intersection of Seminole Street and Suburban Parkway. The victim was said to have a boat at the marina and may have fallen into the water, Costello said. But he said the cause of death won't be clear until the autopsy is complete. |
