Tickets for the July 21 concert at McCoy Stadium, in Pawtucket, featuring Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp go on sale Saturday, May 9, at 10 a.m. The general-admission tickets are $77.50; children under 14 get in free when accompanied by a paying adult. That is an amazing lineup, and I realize the ticket price is modest compared to some big-name arena concerts. (Britney Spears and Prince, I'm lookin' at you.)
But still. $77.50 per person in our little recession-plagued state? I can't afford to be there, and would love to; I'm sure I'm far from the only one. Sigh.

This is a $100 evening per person to see a bunch of old rich talented guys. I'd rather give my money to someone who could use it.
