PROVIDENCE. R.I. -- Indictment have been handed up for three Woonsocket men facing multiple felony robbery, gun and narcotics charges. The nine-count indictment, handed up by a grand jury in U.S. District Court last week, stem from a home invasion in Providence earlier this year. The three men indicted are: Julio "Macho"' Candelario, 29, Robert P. "Bibet'' Beauparlant Jr., 26; and Pedro L. "Pedy'' Cuadrado, 20. The indictments were announced by U.S. Attorney Robert Clark Corrente, Mark W. Curtin, resident agent for Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms; and Woonsocket Police Chief Thomas Carey. "This is the beginning of a joint federal/local effort in the City of Woonsocket aimed at curbing firearms and drug activity in our city,'' Carey said. If convicted on all counts, each defendant faces up to life in prison and fines of $250,000. Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard W. Rose is prosecuting the case. |
