NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Two adults and a 16-year-old boy are facing narcotics charges in the wake of a police raid at a home at 20 Wentworth St.

Using a dog trained to sniff out narcotics, police executed a search warrant on the home on May 8 and seized individually wrapped clear plastic bags containing about five grams of marijuana, along with some rolling papers and drug paraphernalia, and two street signs police said were stolen from the town.

The 16-year-old was ordered by Family Court Judge Michael Forte to be held at the state Training School on charges of manufacture and possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance.

Also arrested and released by Justice of the Peace Richard Finnegan on $1,000 personal recognizance on the same charges were Beverly A. Berard, 41, and Ronald Berard Sr., 49, pending hearings in Superior Court in July. As a result of the arrests, another child in the home was removed by the Department of Children, Youth and Families.

You used dogs, multiple officers, and agencies... and got 5 grams.... oh wait, INDIVIDUALLY BAGGED!!!!!! Five GRAMS! Street avlue of 50 bucks (because their street value is based on single bags at inflated prices, not with Bob's Incredible Buying Power). Congratulations North Providence Police. You and Warwick Police can have a citation for spending my FICA on worthless Marijuana busts. Lets find Oxycontin, lets find heroin. Lets find at least ONE drug that someone overdosed on in the history of recorded medicine. Great job Officers. Making us proud.
