PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- It's cloudy shortly before 7 a.m., and we should expect showers, especially after noon Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

The high temperature should reach 71 degrees with a southwest wind between 15 and 18 mph.

The weather service says it might have issue a wind advisory at some point for parts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

There's also a chance of showers tonight, primarily before 3 a.m.

The weekend doesn't look great. There's a slight chance of showers Saturday and the high temperature should reach 67 degrees. Sunday looks worse. Showers are likely and the high is likely to reach just degrees.
