PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The state Health Department continues to await test results for seven potential swine flu cases, following the return of test results that confirmed one Westerly man had the flu and confirmed that a student at North Kingstown High School did not have swine flu.

As the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention continues to test the possible Rhode Island cases -- and many others from around the nation -- Johnson & Wales University has canceled all classes on Monday, Narragansett's Pier Middle School will remain closed through Wednesday.

Students at North Kingstown High School returned to their classrooms Monday. The school was closed for two days last week, while officials awaited results of the student's test.

The health department will hold another press briefing Monday at 2 p.m., according to spokeswoman Annemarie Beardsworth.

"We do expect some [test results] today," Beardsworth said. "But as you can imagine, the CDC is quite busy."
