PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence Fire Department will give free carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers to residents in need. Providence Fire Chief George S. Farrell and Fire Marshal Anthony DiGiulio will announce the program at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Public Safety Complex, 325 Washington Street. The carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers are being donated by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform and will be delivered to the Providence Fire Department at today's news conference. |
