PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- A local man charged accused of showing cell phone pictures of his genitalia to two underage girls was released on bail following a District Court appearance Friday, court officials said.

Joe Campana, 31, was ordered to have no contact with minors.

Pawtucket police Detective Donti Rosciti said the girls -- who are sisters, ages 12 and 13 -- had gone to visit a friend on Knowles Street on May 18. Campana, their friend's stepfather, was sitting in his car in the driveway, Rosciti said. He called the sisters over, first one then the other, and showed them the pictures telling them in Spanish that he would masturbate and say their name as he did so, Rosciti said.

The girls ran home and told their mother, who reported it to the police, Rosciti said.

Campana was charged with two counts of enticement of children, felonies, and two counts of disorderly conduct, misdemeanors.

Rosciti said that Campana had deleted the photographs from his cell phone but that the police were able to retrieve them.

I got an idea. Let's chase all the tax paying businesses out of the state and then when there is no money to operate the prisons, we can let all the joe campana's back onto the streets to play with our daughters.
