PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A 20-year-old Providence man has tested positive for swine flu, the state Department of Health confirmed on Friday. The man, who has no travel history and no known contact with an infected person, is the 15th H1N1 influenza case in Rhode Island. Thursday the department confirmed another unrelated case, a 24-year-old Providence woman believed to have contracted the virus from a friend who had previously tested positive for swine flu. Health officials said neither patient was in the hospital; both are recuperating at their homes. CommentsLeave a commentPlease be civil.
