I think that counseling should be mandatory for police officers...group and individual. Professionals who deal with deviants to society are the most stressed and get the most negative over time. It's the nature of the people and incidents they deal with. It's aa whole different world out there. Buonanno should not be legally dealt with as much as he should be helped. All these public service jobs... teachers, police, prison guards, medical professionals, etc. are subject to far more than most people realize. It's just not easy and they are good people dedicating themselves to tough professions out of love for the professions. They deserve our support, not our ridicule. People need to come out of their cocoons. It's not a pretty world as we would like to believe it is.
