CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. -- The city's Child Safety & Protection Festival will be held Saturday at Macomber Field from 2 to 5 p.m. Admission is free. All children will receive a free identification card. Children must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian to have an ID made. The festival is sponsored by the Central Falls Police, Central Falls Fire, Wyatt Detention Center and New York Life Insurance. Activities include fingerprinting and photos for child identification cards, bike safety, fire safety demonstrations, free blood pressure screening, rock wall climbing, inflatable bounce house and slide, face painting, live music and food.
