SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. -- A 15-year-old South Kingstown youth was in serious condition in Hasbro Childrens Hospital Monday after an off-road accident Sunday evening. Detective Sgt. James R. Tierney of the South Kingstown police said the boy was thrown from an all-terrain vehicle when it struck a tree. The boy was taken by Life Star Helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital after the accident around 5:24 p.m. on a private dirt road, according to Tierney.
