BURRILLVILLE, R.I. -- Volunteers from two fire companies extinguished a two-acre brush fire in the vicinity of 1125 Sherman Farm Rd., an emergency dispatcher said Wednesday. The second alarm came in around 3:15 p.m. The fire was under control an hour later, a Burrillville Police dispatcher said. No buildings were in danger. The National Weather Service in Taunton on Wednesday issued a red flag alert until 6 p.m. on an increased fire danger in the northwest part of the state. |
