PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Firefighters are battling a second-alarm blaze this morning in the vicinity of 1191 Westminster St., in a three-story structure that was occupied. Everyone is believed to have gotten out of the building, according to James Taylor, chief of communications for the Providence Fire Department. Crews were called to the scene at 5:09 a.m., and the fire was upgraded to a second-alarm at 5:29, Taylor said. At around 6:10, crews were still fighting the fire, which is near the intersection of Bridgham Street in Federal Hill. CommentsLeave a commentPlease be civil.
